17 Mind Blowing  tips and tricks for whatsapp  status 2020 isn't as attractive as Instagram Stories, but you can do it with it. Some features are exclusive to WhatsApp status.

Whether you're a WhatsApp newbie or a beginner, we'll show you how to take the next step with these 17 tips and tricks.

17 Mind Blowing  tips and tricks for whatsapp  status 2020

1. Add a link to the status

WhatsApp is more forgiving as it allows anyone to post a link to their status, unlike the popular Instagram story, where you can only post links to business accounts with over 1 billion followers. However, it only supports format or text mode.

WhatsApp has two types of status: type/text and camera. The former is text-based and does not support images, while the latter supports all kinds of media such as videos, images and GIFs.

Let's see how to add a link in type mode. Go to the WhatsApp Status tab and tap on the pencil icon. Now enter www.guidingtech.com. You can also change the font style and background color of the link. Then tap the send icon to post to your status.

2. Change font and background color

In WhatsApp state, the format mode is limited in which the font and background color play an important role.

To use it, go to type mode in WhatsApp status and press the color palette icon repeatedly to change the background color. Unfortunately you can't set a custom color and you have to choose one of the colors provided. Likewise, to change the font, tap the text icon repeatedly.

3. Format text

You can customize the text by adding bold, italic, strikethrough, or changing the font to mono space. If you are familiar with WhatsApp font formatting, all fonts work in format mode.

To do that, select the text while creating the state in type mode. Format the text as you like from the selection menu.

Or use these symbols without brackets to format your text.

  • Bold: Enclose the text with an asterisk (*).
  • Italic: Enclose text with underscores (_).
  • Strikethrough: Enclose text with a tilde (~).
  • Monospace: text 3 backticks (``)

4. Copy text in type mode

For states configured using type mode, WhatsApp allows you to copy text while the state is alive. To do this, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the Status tab and tap on the 3-dot icon to the right of My Status.

Step 2 : Long press on the status you want to copy. You will see three icons at the top. Tap the copy symbol in the center. The text of the status is copied to the clipboard.

Pro tip: You can select multiple states to copy the text of multiple states in the same way.

5. Paused state

WhatsApp status works like a slideshow, each status automatically appears in turn. Sometimes it becomes difficult to read the text or check the picture in the state, so it continues to the next state. You can pause to enjoy the state in all its glory. To do so, press and hold the state while you want to pause, then lift your finger to move to the next state.

6. View the next person's status

As you look at the status, you'll see the number of stories posted by that person at the top, indicated by a horizontal bar. You can easily switch states. To go to the next person's state, swipe left anywhere on the screen. To go to the previous user's state, swipe right on the screen.

7. Fast delivery status

Likewise, tap the right edge of your phone to skip the status of the same person or fast forward the slideshow. This stops playback of the current state and advances to the next state. Tap the left edge to return to the previous state.

8. Stop viewing status

We have a lot of people in our contacts, or we are not interested as people are singing stories. But usually they appear in the status slideshow, making it awkward because they know that the two can see their status.

You can mute people in these situations. This will show the status of your muted address book in a separate section called'Mute Updates' under normal conditions. If you want to see these muted states, you have to press them manually.

Note: A muted user can see my status.

To mute someone's status, tap and hold a contact in the status list. Choose Mute from the pop-up menu.

9. Zoom status

Sometimes, while checking someone's condition, you may want to zoom in on a photo to see more details. To do that, use your finger to move in and out of the screen.

10. Change emoji color

One of the features exclusive to WhatsApp is the ability to change the color of the emoji in the state. But it only works with select emoji.

To do this, follow these steps:

Step 1 : Open the WhatsApp status tab and tap on the camera icon. Capture a new photo or select a photo from the gallery.

Step 2: Tap the emoji icon at the top and tap the emoji to add it.

Step 3: If you have added multiple emojis, tap on the emoji you want to change color. Then choose a color from the color slider.

11. Change the size of the pencil

While scribbling a picture, you may want to change the size of the pencil. Changing the pencil color is an easy task, but in the case of pencil size it is hidden.

Here's what you need to do. First tap the pencil icon, then tap and hold the color palette until the pencil icon turns to a dot. Now place your finger on the screen and swipe right or left to increase or decrease the size.

12. Change the font style

Until today, I didn't know that you can change the font style in a normal state. It's so private. I stumbled across it today while playing with font colors.

Here's how to change the font.

Step 1: Once you have selected the picture, tap on the text icon to add text.

Step 2: Enter your text in the typing area. Now press and hold anywhere in the color palette. Swipe left without lifting your finger to change the font style. To return to the previous font, swipe right without pressing your finger. You can also create memes using one of the font styles. Tap anywhere on the screen to add text to the picture.

On Android, you can change the font style after adding it to the state. Just tap the color palette and swipe right or left.

Pro tip: Put your finger in or out to change the font size. You can also drag to change the position.

13. Add location

You should have seen the WhatsApp status with the location sticker. If you are an Instagram user, you should be familiar with dynamic stickers like time and location. WhatsApp supports both.

To add a location, add a picture, then tap the emoji icon. Now tap on the location sticker and choose your current location.

14. Color Block Status

If you want to take advantage of the camera mode's functionality in a normal background, you can add a color block to the state or apply a background color. This feature is also available in Instagram Stories.

To do this, follow these steps:

Step 1: On the Status tab, use the camera icon to capture a new photo or select an existing one.

Step 2: Tap the pencil icon. Click the color you want to use in the color palette.

Step 3: Tap anywhere on the screen until the background is filled with that color.

Note: The color is filled according to the size of the selected image. To add a color block to the entire image, capture a new photo and follow the steps mentioned above.

15. Create GIF

You can also create and extract GIFs from any video. To do this, you need to cut the video on WhatsApp and make it less than 6 seconds.

The steps are as follows:

Step 1: On the Status tab, tap on the camera icon. Then capture or select the video of the length you want.

Step 2: On the video editing screen, drag the end of the selection to select only 6 seconds of video. When you do, you'll see a GIF option next to the video icon. Tap it.

Step 3: Tap the Send button to share it as a GIF.

16. Camera switching

Usually, you switch the front and rear cameras using the buttons on the screen. However, it is sometimes uncomfortable while taking pictures or shooting. Alternatively, you can switch cameras instantly by double tapping the screen. It works in picture and video mode.

17. Zoom during recording

Assuming you need to zoom in on the video, you usually use the usual pinch gestures. However, WhatsApp provides an easy way to do it.

You need to hold down the video button to start recording. Then use the same finger to move up and down, or slide your finger across the screen to zoom in and out. Lift your finger to stop recording.

Bonus trick: privacy settings

WhatsApp offers three privacy settings for your status. If you are in your contact list, the status is My Contacts, which will show up on all WhatsApp contacts. Apart from that, you can blacklist your contacts to hide their status or share status with only a few users.

To change your status's privacy settings, follow these steps:

Step 1 : Go to the Status tab and tap on the 3 dots icon in the top right corner. Choose your status privacy here.

Step 2: Choose the option you want and choose the contacts you want to add to the blacklist or whitelist according to the option you choose.
